To our East Village, Lolita’s Fans:

Nearly 15 years after opening our doors at 202 Park Blvd, we, Lolita’s Mexican Food, have decided to close. Though not an easy decision, we opted not to renew our lease and move forward. This decision was best for our family-owned company and five existing locations.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, East Village! We truly enjoyed serving this community over the years. We’re forever grateful to everyone who dined at the restaurant that we fondly called Lolita’s at the Park.

Thank you to all the Padres fans, the Friar Faithfuls! We will continue to root for the home team with you all! To the Padres organization, from the players and equipment managers to the broadcast team, thank you! To the opposing MLB teams, fans, and travelers from around the world who had Lolita’s on your list of “Things to Eat While in San Diego,” thank you for making the trip! To the Petco Park staff — the ticket collectors, ushers, concession workers, and everyone in between — we appreciate you and thank you! And we can’t forget to thank our Comic-Con crowd. We had some of the craziest times together — and we loved every minute! You came to Lolita’s wearing the wildest costumes, and you left like superheroes. It was epic!

Lastly, thank you to our Lolita’s at the Park Team Members, past and present. The last few years have been some of the toughest in our nearly 40 years in business, but you’ve stuck by us through it all. We appreciate you and all your hard work! To those who will end their tenure with us when we close our doors, thank you and good luck on your journey. To those who will transfer to a different Lolita’s location, thank you, and we look forward to growing with you.
